What started as a family dream at Tall Oaks Barn has grown into something more, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. The Milk House is our new sister venue, sitting just around the corner from Tall Oaks Barn with the same perfect location in Jersey County, IL. Thoughtfully restored from a historic working dairy barn, it’s a warm, welcoming space for the gatherings that matter most. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a shower, a birthday, a fundraiser, a corporate event, or simply a reason to bring your people together, this is a place built for exactly that.

Surrounded by open fields, big skies, and sunsets that slow everything down, The Milk House offers permanent indoor and outdoor seating, a spacious patio strung with market lights, and a large fire pit that turns any evening into something memorable. The space will be fully heated and cooled, with indoor restrooms, so your guests are comfortable no matter the season.

Renovations are still underway, and we’re putting care into every detail. Some of the photos shared here are AI-generated previews of what the finished space will look like, because we just can’t wait to show you where it’s headed. The barn will be ready for events starting in August 2026, and we’re already looking forward to the celebrations that will fill it.

Like everything we do at Tall Oaks Barn, this space was built with heart. We believe the best gatherings don’t need much, just room to gather, breathe, and enjoy the moment.

We are available for phone calls 9am-7pm and emails anytime. We typically book tours on Saturday mornings but can work with your schedule if that's not an option!
